MODEL 94AE (ANGLE EJECT)

The Winchester Model 94AE (Angle Eject) is a modernized version of the classic Model 94 lever-action rifle, distinguished by its key innovation: the receiver was modified to eject spent cartridges at an angle (to the right) instead of straight up, which allows for easy mounting of a telescopic scope on the receiver, a major improvement over earlier top-eject models. Introduced in 1983, it retains the classic look and feel but often includes a cross-bolt safety for added security, making it a popular hunting rifle, especially in .30-30 Winchester caliber.
